Situated in a quiet neighborhood with a scenic mountain view, the driveway is paved to the front door with a newly enlarged parking area. The nearby Cullasaja River offers swimming, tubing and fishing as well as majestic waterfalls.
This home has been remodeled with energy efficiency as a main goal. All sheetrock was removed and interior framing was inspected. Roof framing required repair and an engineer’s approval. Extensive air-sealing was required. Walls were made thicker to allow more insulation. New insulation was installed in the attic and under the floor. A plastic vapor barrier was installed in the crawlspace. New electical wiring was installed along with all-new plumbing. Gutter drains were rerouted and a French drain was intalled to reduce moisture levels around the house. The home’s third-party certified, Energy Star rating proves energy efficiency measures were effective!
